G Voz

Guido was born in October 1995 in Gouda, the Netherlands—you might know it from the cheese. However, he grew up on the outskirts of a small village in Fryslân, where he spent his childhood wandering through forests and roaming the meadows. At the age of seven, he got his first guitar. Unfortunately, it didn’t last long—one fateful afternoon, he turned on his PlayStation 1, flopped onto his bed, and heard a loud crack—his guitar snapped in half. His second guitar, a humble one from Lidl, has impressively survived for over twenty years.

Over time, he also picked up the piano and discovered songwriting. After high school, he pursued a music program at the Academy for Pop Culture, where he found his passion for music production. This remains the core of his artistic journey. Writing, recording, and experimenting with sound is his number one passion.

All that was missing was a name for his project: G Voz. His philosophy is simple—he refuses to be confined to a single genre. Anything that can be created should be created, without being limited by the boundaries of a specific style. His music delves into life, insights, experiences, and sometimes pure nonsense, wrapped in cryptic lyrics and captivating melodies. He zooms in on emotions and translates them into music, always seeking a deep connection between sound and feeling.
